Chicago Roofing Contractors Association
Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) is a trade association for roofing and waterproofing professionals in Illinois, including contractors, manufacturers, consultants, and distributors. CRCA provides a supportive environment for professionals to network and collaborate to address industry concerns.

Headquartered in Geln Ellyn, CRCA is led by Board of Directors President Mark Moran.
About Mark Moran
Mark Moran leads one of the most respected companies in the industry as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Knickerbocker Roofing & Paving Co. Inc. Moran has a BA from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, and years of experience in the roofing industry. Moran brings this extensive experience to his role as CRCA President.
Since its founding in 1886, Knickerbocker has been a family-owned and operated company—Moran is a fifth-generation family member. The company specializes in industrial, commercial, and institutional roofing and sheet metal contracting. Two of Moran’s family members also held the role of CRCA President in previous generations, and his great grandfather was an early President of the National Roofing Contractors Association.
Mark Moran’s Role as President of CRCA
In 2024, Mark Moran’s leadership is focused on promoting member collaboration and enhancing standards in the roofing industry to create a safer, more rewarding environment for professionals. In his role as president, he has the opportunity to address key industry issues while shaping the direction of the association.
In addition to serving as president of CRCA, Moran also chairs the CRC/Local 11 Joint Safety Committee and serves as a trustee of the Roofers’ Union Welfare Trust Fund and Roofers’ Pension Fund. He has also been on the board of directors for the National Roofing Contractors Association, lending his expertise to the roofing industry nationwide.
